The last few weeks have made me a little antsy about getting some things into the ground. It is always hard this time of year because as we now see in this week's forecast the cold is making a return even though it has been over two weeks since our last below freezing temperatures. It is easy to want to get a jump start on spring planting but it is always best to wait until threat of frost is past for tender annuals. For us, our typical safe planting date is right around Mother's Day. I did decide to get a little risky over a week ago and direct seed some sunflowers. They are now up and today we will be covering them with frost cloth. I may live to regret planting them, but if they do survive I'll have the earliest crop of sunflowers I have ever had. I love a good experiment/trial so we will see what happens!
You may have seen in our social media posts in the last week that we have added a Tracey Rae Flower Shop corner to the Hill's Compounding Pharmacy in Milford. Matt took over pharmacy ownership back in September and we knew that we wanted to dedicate some space to flowers. So many of you have picked up blooms from here in the past and we are so excited to have a dedicated space and floral cooler in the pharmacy now. Fresh flowers can now be picked up everyday Monday-Saturday at the new Flower Shop. We will also be stocking some of our favorite house plants and gardening tools. More information on that to come very soon! In the meantime, we'd love for you to spread the word on the newest spot to find our flowers!

In the past, this has always been one of our busiest flower weekends and I always look forward to seeing so many happy faces taking home our flowers to gift to all the moms in your lives. New this week, we are shipping flowers! You may have noticed following along through Instagram or Facebook that we are in full spring bloom! This is the peak of ranunculus on the farm so we want to share our blooms with as many people as we can! Orders for shipping this week must be placed by the end of the day on Wednesday and bouquets will ship out on Thursday.
